Heather Makowecki
Provisional Psychologist
-
Child, Teen & Adult Therapist | ADHD, Autism (ASD), Giftedness & Life Transitions.
Heather supports children, teens, and adults in finding balance, confidence, and connection — at home, at school, and in life. Heather is a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) at Ten Psychology who works with children, teens, and adults. She has a strong passion for supporting children and adolescents diagnosed with ADHD, Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), or identified as gifted and talented.
Heather also works with adults navigating career stress, family responsibilities, and life transitions, offering a grounded and compassionate space for reflection and growth. Heather’s approach is thoughtful, evidence-based, and rooted in collaboration. She primarily works from an Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) framework, helping clients clarify their values, build mindfulness skills, and move toward meaningful, value-driven action.
For children and teens, Heather creates a supportive and engaging space to help them explore emotions, build emotional regulation, and develop self-understanding. With adults, she focuses on stress management, resilience, and creating alignment between personal goals and core values.
Heather’s sessions are designed to foster emotional awareness and self-compassion — helping clients move forward with clarity and confidence.

Teens, Adults, and Couples in finding clarity, balance, and connection through life’s challenges.
Khaled is a compassionate therapist at Ten Psychology who works with teens, adults, and couples who are experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma, and relationship concerns. His approach is grounded, empathetic, and evidence-based — helping clients navigate emotional pain, strengthen relationships, and move toward meaningful change.
As a parent of three, Khaled understands the complexities of family life and the importance of emotional regulation and communication. He creates a calm, supportive environment where clients can explore their experiences, identify patterns, and begin to heal and grow. Khaled draws on Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), and Transactional Analysis (TA) to help individuals challenge unhelpful thoughts, regulate emotions, and build healthier ways of relating to themselves and others.
With couples, Khaled integrates the Gottman Method and Emotion-Focused Therapy (EFT) to rebuild trust, improve communication, and restore intimacy. He also offers Attachment-Based Family Therapy to strengthen parent-child relationships and promote emotional healing within families. Khaled’s work supports both personal growth and relational harmony — helping clients reconnect with their values, relationships, and sense of self.

Shannon K
Registered Psychologist
-
Child, Teen & Parent Therapist | Anxiety, OCD, ADHD & Autism (ASD)
Shannon is a child and parent psychologist at Ten Psychology who works with families to support emotional regulation, anxiety, OCD, ADHD, autism spectrum disorder (ASD), and perfectionism. Her approach is warm, creative, and rooted in collaboration — helping each child and parent understand their experiences, strengthen resilience, and build a sense of balance that lasts.
Shannon believes that therapy is a space for growth — where children can feel seen and heard, and where parents can rediscover confidence in supporting their child’s emotional world. With younger children, Shannon uses play therapy and art-based approaches to make therapy engaging, safe, and developmentally appropriate. With older children and teens, she integrates Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Narrative Therapy to help them manage anxiety, regulate emotions, and build healthy self-esteem.
Parents are active partners in Shannon’s work. Through parent counselling and coaching, she helps families navigate ADHD-related challenges, support children with autism (ASD), manage behaviour and emotional outbursts, and create calmer home environments. Shannon’s sessions are designed to strengthen family connection and help children and parents move forward — together.
